Maroon Madness parade, rally set tomorrow

Marking the end of summer vacation and to help usher in the school year, Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District is hoping to energize the community with the annual Maroon Madness parade set Aug. 23. The event is free and open to the public.
Participants in the parade will line up at 4:45 p.m. along East Nopal Street between North Wood and North First streets.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m., starting at the intersection of North Wood and East Nopal, taking a right on North Getty Street and continuing until the Honey Bowl. After the parade, at 6:45 p.m., the district will continue the event through the meet-the-Coyotes-and-Lobos mixer.
