UYRC hosts final points night


Activities scheduled Tuesday

The fourth and final points-night competition of the summer season will be staged by the Uvalde Youth Rodeo Club Tuesday.

Action in the Uvalde County Arena at the Fairplex will get underway at 6 p.m.

Lead-line competition will kick off the action.

Following the lead-line competition, events will include cloverleaf barrels, straight barrels, pole bending, goats, and various roping events.

To be eligible for end-of-year prizes awarded by the UYRC, competitors must participate in at least three of the four points nights.

Thus far, the UYRC has conducted three points nights, including the points nights staged June 18, June 25, and last Tuesday.

Early next month, the UYRC will host its awards night presentation.

First-place winners in the points night last Tuesday included Rankin McMillian, Klacey Dean, Garrett Talamantes, Chase Santos, Faith Edwards, Ryker Dean, Sage Everett, Brayson McMillian, Brody Barker, Carly Rae Colvin, London Gorham, Kiley Dean, Taylor Glass, Dannie Everett, Tres Colvin, Whitt Gutierrez, and Kooper Warnette.
