Uvaldeans top Judson and Hondo

Uvalde High School won two matches and lost one match in weekend team tennis action last weekend.

Last Friday morning, Coach Terri Rambie’s Uvaldeans bested the Converse Judson Rockets, 13-6, in their first dual-match competition of the season.

The Coyotes made it a clean sweep in boys’ singles with six wins.

Beau Gonzalez topped Devon Moore-Elon, 6-4, 4-6, and 10-3, in the number-one match.

Andrew Melchor rolled over Josh Dulnuan, 6-1 and 6-0, in the number-two match.

Gio Valdez rallied to beat Jaison Phongaume, 4-6, 6-2, and 10-6, in the number-three match, and Lorenzo Perez outlasted Marcos Green, 6-2, 3-6, 10-6, in the number-four match.
