Uvalde High School senior Alaina Sosa, who represented the art club, was named the 2019 homecoming queen Friday night during haltime ceremonies of the Uvalde Coyotes’ eventual 56-13 victory over San Antonio Kennedy.

Sosa, the daughter of Julissa Sosa of Uvalde, was escorted by David Torres, son of Ben and Vanessa Puerta of Uvalde.

Sosa has competed in UHS swimming and was on the junior roster for the spring 2019 PowderPuff football game, in which the UHS juniors and seniors faced off on the football field.
