Palomino Fest sneak-peek set in one week

Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Palomino Fest Labor Day Celebration, a fun-filled weekend with music, carnival rides and rodeo at the Uvalde County Fairplex as well as a downtown parade.

The first night of carnival festivities will kick off on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. with no gate fee.

On Friday and Saturday the gates open at 5 p.m. and close at midnight on Friday and 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Admission is $12 per day or $20 for a weekend pass. The gate fee includes admission to the rodeo. Children ages 10 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Advance tickets are being sold online at palominofest.com, and discounted all-you-can-ride carnival vouchers available at O’Reilly Auto Parts.
