Opera house presenting radio play

Based on the famed black-and- white movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” adapted by Joe Landry, will run at 7:30 p.m. today, tomorrow and Saturday at the Janey Slaughter Briscoe Grand Opera House. It is a family-friendly play showcasing local talent directed by opera house manager Rosie Whisenant.

The five cast members will voice dozens of characters to retell the story of George Bailey in Bedford Halls and his encounter with his guardian angel Clarence one fateful Christmas Eve.
