Participants at El Progreso Memorial Library’s Murder Under the Big Top mystery dinner fundraiser, held July 14 at the Uvalde Country Club, stepped right up to an evening of fabulous fun, food and frolic. In all, 84 were in attendance.

“Everyone seemed to really enjoy it,” said library director Mendell Morgan. “In my mind, it was a great success, but I don’t know number-wise.”

There were 10 tables of eight each participating in the mystery and a table of four spectators. Ticket sales totaled $4,200.
