Local tots showcase artistic talents

Headstart and migrant council youngsters in Uvalde, Batesville and Sabinal recently broke out the crayons to compete for top honors in a coloring contest organized by Community Health Development, Inc. in celebration of the health care provider’s 35th year of operation.

The contest was open to students within the AVANCE or Texas Migrant Council programs. In total, 64 entries were received and the age of winners ranged from 2 to 5 years of age.
