Lobos rally for 6-3 softball win

Down by three runs, the Uvalde Lobos rallied to score six runs on the way to a 6-3 victory over the Eagle Pass Winn Lady Mavericks Tuesday.

The Lobos gave a large Parents’ Night crowd something to cheer about as they scored three runs in the third inning to knot the score at 3-3.

With two runners on base and one out, Denise Longoria ripped a double to deep center field.

Kylie Sendejo, who reached base earlier in the inning on an infield single, scored on Longoria’s double, while Kamryn Arredondo, who reached base on a single, advanced to third base.

Later in the inning, a throwing error allowed Arredondo to score from third base, while Denise Longoria advanced to third base.

Longoria scored later in the inning on a ground out by Megan Flores.

The Lobos advanced a runner to third base in the fourth inning as Nathalie Ramirez tripled down the left field foul line.
