Lobos play MV girls here Tuesday

Playing in a district with an odd number of schools means that one team will have an open date from district play.

The Uvalde Lobos will have that open date from District 28-5A basketball competition tomorrow.

They will be back in hoops action next Tuesday night when they host the Medina Valley Lady Panthers.

Varsity action in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym Tuesday will begin at 6:30 p.m., while the two sub-varsity games are set for a 5 p.m. tip-off time.

Last month, the Lobos lost a 75-30 decision to Medina Valley in district action at Castroville.

Up 43-17 at halftime, the Lady Panthers continued their offensive onslaught in the second half as they rolled to a 45-point win.

Michayla Chaffin and Katelyn Burris scored in double figures for MV with 11 points and 10 points.
