Clayton King made Uvalde Fourth of July Golf Tournament history Monday afternoon as he became the youngest winner ever of the tournament.
The 19-year-old Uvalde native captured first place in the championship flight as he defeated Parker Ray of Concan, six and four, in the title match.
“It feels great to win the tournament,” said King.
“As a kid, I remember coming out to the course to watch the tournament with my dad. It has always been a dream of mine to win this tournament,” said King. “There have been a lot of good golfers who have won this tournament. I feel honored to add my name to that list.”
