Juniors top Seniors in overtime

UHS Class of 2019 wins 8-6 thriller

Uvalde High School Powder Puff football history was made Thursday night in the Honey Bowl.

After battling to a scoreless tie through two halves of play, the Juniors topped the Seniors, 8-6, in overtime to win UHS’s Powder Puff MMXVIII.

This was the first game in the history of the annual UHS football classic to go to overtime.

The Juniors had the ball first in overtime.

On a third-down play, quarterback Alyssa Rodriguez completed a nine-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kamryn Arredondo.
