Hundreds turn out for Saturday STEAM expo

Over 300 people attended the third-annual Science, Technology, Education, Arts and Math expo on Saturday at the El Progreso Memorial Library.

Hailed as an unquestioned success by library director Mendell Morgan, and a miracle on West Main street by expo coordinator Michael Robinson, the event incorporated exhibits from organizations and individuals such as Medina Electric Co-op, Uvalde EMS, Hill Country Alliance, U.S. Border Patrol, San Antonio AirLIFE and field biologist Shaun McCoshum.

Robinson added that he’s deemed it the “miracle” because of “so many community members giving financially, providing prizes, goods and services, and selflessly volunteering, and uniting together to provide the amazing educational gift to area students…”
