Cyprian officially sworn in to practice law

Uvalde County Judge Bill Mitchell presided over a swearing-in ceremony on behalf of new attorney Frank Alexander Cyprian, the grandson of Carmella Gonzales and Alicia “Licha” Reyes, both of Uvalde. The ceremony took place Monday, with Cyprian’s parents, grandmothers, aunts, cousins and friends in attendance at the Uvalde County Courthouse.

Cyprian has passed the Texas bar exam and is contemplating where to practice law. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.

While preparing to take the LSAT after receiving his bachelor’s degree, Cyprian took a job as a substitute teacher with Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District. He also worked as a GED instructor for students at Southwest Texas Junior College and inmates at the Uvalde County Jail.
