Coyotes play JFK tomorrow at SA

Tomorrow night at San Antonio, the Uvalde Coyotes will go up against the John F. Kennedy Rockets in District 14-5A Division II football competition.

Kick-off time at Edgewood Veterans Memorial Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Coyotes will be seeking their second win of the season while the Rockets will be looking for their first win of the season.

“We are out of the running for a playoff spot, but we have two games left on our schedule. We want to end this season on a winning note and to set the tone for a good off-season by winning our last two games,” said Uvalde High School head football coach R.T. Gonzales. “But we know that Kennedy is winless this season and will be giving us their best game Friday night. So it should be a good game.”

Ben Benavides is the new head football coach at Kennedy High School.
