Tuesday afternoon, the Uvalde Coyotes will be at Fredericksburg for basketball action against the Fredericksburg Billies.
The varsity ball game is scheduled for a 3:45 p.m. tip-off time.
Preceding the Uvalde-Fredericksburg varsity contest will be a 1 p.m. freshman game and a 2:30 p.m. junior varsity game.
Coach Alex Oyola’s Coyotes, 2-0 for the season, will enter play coming off a 78-73 road victory over the Lytle Pirates last Tuesday night.
Lytle got off to a 25-14 start in the first period, but the Coyotes battled back to cut the scoring deficit to two points, 39-37, by halftime.
The Pirates increased their lead to 59-54 by the end of the third period.
But the Coyotes outscored the Buccaneers, 24-14, and rallied to post a big road victory.
Five players scored in double figures to lead Uvalde’s scoring, including Donovan Davila with 15 points, Cristian Treviño and Estevan Ortiz, each with 13 points, Grant Taylor with 12 points, and Eric Flores with 10 points.
D’Andre Carroll totaled nine points, while Tito Gonzales, Chris Hernandez, and Jackson Taylor scored two points each.
