Audience questions for hematology specialist Dr. Slavisa Gasic ranged in topic on Wednesday from how to know if one has cancer to whether someone ought to seek treatment far from home. Another popular topic was skin cancer.

Including the Texas Oncology presenter, who facilitated a presentation on cancer at El Progreso Memorial Library, seven people were in attendance for the candid discussion. The presentation was hosted by the library in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Gasic first opened the floor for those gathered to ask questions related to cancer in general, and later gave a detailed presentation on breast cancer itself.
