Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District will need to find itself a new superintendent come the fall semester. Wednesday night Judson Independent School District in San Antonio named UCISD Superintendent Jeanette Ball the lone finalist in its own search for superintendent.
The UCISD board of trustees will likely name an interim superintendent for the immediate future and later begin the search for a permanent replacement.
The first step is to release Ball from the contract she signed with the district last year, which extended her tenure to 2021. Ball and the board would then need to agree on an acceptable last day in her current position.
“We still haven’t seen a letter of resignation from her,” current board president Javier Flores said on Thursday. “I’m just glad it was done during non-school time.
