Adults best UHS athletes in charity hoops tournament

Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District staff bested the junior varsity and freshman basketball teams twice Thursday evening in an exhibition game to generate toys and blankets for the needy this Christmas.

During the event, junior varsity and freshman basketball teams took on campus police, coaches and staff. The score for the first game of the Hoops for Hope tournament was 38-36, while the score for the second was 43-41.
