There were eight multiple-event winners in the Uvalde Youth Rodeo Club’s second point-night competition of the 2017 season last Monday night at the Uvalde County Fairplex Arena.
Liza Elder and Whitt Gutierrez won first place in three events, while six athletes won first-place in two events, including Kaitlyn McDaniel, Garrett Talamantes, Cassidy Kusenberger, Ava Packouz, Rylee Dodson and Gracie Greene.
Elder captured first place in the 11- to 14-year-olds age division of cloverleaf barrels, straight barrels, and pole bending.
Gutierrez won first place in the 15- to 19-year-olds age division of ribbon roping, tie-down roping, and breakaway roping.
McDaniel took first place in the 7-year-olds and under age division of cloverleaf barrels and goats.
Talamantes placed first in the 8- to 10-year-olds age division of cloverleaf barrels and straight barrels.
Kusenberger finished first in the 15- to 19-year-old age division of cloverleaf barrels and poles.
