Uvalde and Somerset will vie in District 28-5A high school soccer competition Tuesday night.
At the Uvalde High School soccer field, the Uvalde Coyotes will host the Somerset Bulldogs, while the Uvalde Lobos will travel to Somerset to take on the Lady Bulldogs.
Kick-off time for varsity play is set for 6:30 p.m., while junior varsity action is set to begin at 5 p.m.
Coach Javier Sanchez’s Coyotes, with a district record of 0-4 and an overall season record of 1-10, will enter play Tuesday following Friday night competition against the Eagle Pass Winn Mavericks at Eagle Pass.
Results from the Uvalde-Winn match were not available at presstime.
Last Tuesday night, the Coyotes suffered a 7-0 beating at the hands of the San Antonio Harlan Hawks.
Following action Tuesday, the Coyotes will be back on the road for district competition against the Floresville Tigers on Friday night.
Coach Keith Pendleton’s Lobos, 2-2 in district play and 4-8-1 for the season overall, will come into the match against Somerset Tuesday following a Friday night home match against the Eagle Pass Winn Lady Mavericks.
