Uvalde High School wrestlers succeed at SA competition

The Uvalde High School wrestling team finished regular-season competition on a successful note Saturday.

Six UHS wrestlers performed well in the Top Gun Shootout meet at San Antonio Veterans Memorial High School.

Adelyhda Perez, Larissa Ramos, Reynaldo Perez and Jesse Davila won first place in their respective weight classes.

Perez took top honors in the women’s 148-pound class, Ramos claimed first place in the women’s 185-pound weight class, Perez took first-place honors in the men’s 113-pound weight class, and Davila finished first in the men’s 132-pound weight class.

Andrew Thompson placed third for UHS in the men’s 145-pound weight class.
