Next Friday night at Castroville, the Uvalde Lobos will begin the second half of their District 28-5A softball schedule.
They will face the Medina Valley Lady Panthers in a varsity game set to begin at 7 p.m.
In their district and season opener last month, the Lobos lost a 10-2 decision against the Medina Valley girls in action at the Uvalde High School softball field.
Down 1-0, the Lady Panthers combined three Uvalde defensive errors with two hits to score three runs in their half of the third inning.
They added two runs in the fifth inning and blew the game open with four runs in the sixth inning.
Cassidy Brawley, Christine Tschirhart, and Ashley DeCock each collected two hits to lead MV’s nine-hit offensive attack.
