The next tournament for the Uvalde Bass Club is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Amistad Lake.

John Persyn and France D’Spain were the first-place winners of the UBC’s June tournament.
In two-day action at Falcon Lake, Persyn claimed first place on June 8, while D’Spain placed first on June 9.
Persyn’s three fish totaled 8.50 pounds.
Billy Stroud placed second on June 8 with his three fish at a weight of 7.50 pounds, while Pete Arredondo took third place with three fish at a weight of 7.39 pounds.
On June 9, D’Spain caught three fish that had a total weight of 9.19 pounds.
Mark D’Spain finished second with his three fish that totaled 7.96 pounds. He also caught the big bass of the day, a 4.21-pounder on June 8.
Richard Villarreal placed third on June 9 with his three fish that totaled 7.14 pounds. Wayne Hale’s big bass of the day weighed a total of 4.68 pounds.
On Aug. 10-11, the UBC will host a fishing tournament at Amistad Lake.
Other UBC tournaments include: Sept. 14-15, Falcon; Oct. 12-13, Falcon, team format; Nov. 9-10, Falcon; and Dec. 7-8, Amistad.
