UHS soccer players compete to raise goods for food pantry

Uvalde High School soccer players will host the annual UHS Holiday Cup soccer match next Wednesday in the Honey Bowl.

The match will feature the varsity Coyotes against the varsity Lobos in an exhibition match to raise food for the Uvalde Food Pantry.

Kick-off time for the match is set for 7 p.m., while the gates will open at 6 p.m.

Admission will cost two cans of food per person in attendance.

Coach Keith Pendleton’s Coyotes will scrimmage the Del Rio Rams on Jan. 2 at Del Rio, before they begin regular-season action on Jan. 4-6 in the Edgewood ISD soccer tournament at San Antonio.
