Tuesday morning, the strength and conditioning program for Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District athletes will get underway.
The program is open to boys and girls who are incoming seventh-graders up to 12th-graders.
There is no charge for those athletes who would like to participate in the program.
“Our young athletes need to get stronger and quicker. I encourage all athletes from the seventh-grade up to high school seniors to take advantage of this program,” said Uvalde High School head football coach and athletic director R.T. Gonzales. “It is a free program and our young athletes should take part.”
Because of Memorial Day tomorrow, the program will begin Tuesday in the Uvalde High School weight room.
