With the start of pre-season high school practice for football, volleyball, cross-country and team tennis early next month, young Uvalde athletes are urged to have a physical exam and to complete their pre-season paper work as soon as possible.
The exam and paper work are required by the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District for all Uvalde High School and Uvalde Morales Junior High School athletes.
Those athletes who will participate in fall sports must have a physical exam before they are eligible to participate in pre-season practices beginning next month.
Besides a physical exam, incoming seventh-grade up to 12th-grade athletes at UHS must take care of pre-season paperwork.
The University Interscholastic League paperwork package includes emergency information, acknowledgement of rules, concussion acknowledgement, parent-student steroid agreement form, sudden cardiac arrest form and athletic training room policy form.
