Must-win game tomorrow night

It is a must-win situation for the San Antonio McCollum Cowboys and the Uvalde Coyotes in their District 29-5A football game tomorrow night.

Kick-off time for the contest at San Antonio’s Harlandale Memorial Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Both the Coyotes and the Cowboys come into the game needing a win to keep their post-season playoff hopes alive.

Coach Greg Felux’s Cowboys, 0-3 in district play and 0-8 for the season, have yet to win a game, but they can make it to post-season play if they beat the Coyotes tomorrow and then beat the Harlandale Indians one week from tomorrow.

“It’s a big game. The team that wins will likely make it to the playoffs, while the team that loses is out of contention. It’s as simple as that,” said Uvalde High School head football coach R.T. Gonzales.
