Milford downs Leakey in state semi-final football action

The Milford Bulldogs got off to a 24-6 lead in the first period and went on to defeat the Leakey Eagles, 72-26, in Class 1A Division I state semi-final football action last Friday at Brady.

Up 44-18 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Eagles, 28-8, in the second half.

Quarterback Hunter Williams had a hand in all four of Leakey’s touchdowns.

Williams threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jack Morshead.

He scored on touchdown runs of seven and 29 yards.

Williams tossed a 45-yard touchdown pass to Trace Lackey.

Statistically, Williams wound up with 27 rushes for 181 yards, and he completed eight out of 17 pass attempts for 189 yards.
