Lobos top Carrizo Springs


Tomorrow night at Pearsall, the Uvalde Lobos will go up against the Pearsall Mavericks in volleyball competition.

Varsity action is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., while the junior varsity match and the freshman match both are set to start at 6 p.m.

Coach Russell McElroy’s Lobos will enter play tomorrow following an exciting 20-25, 25-13, 25-14, 22-25, and 15-13 road victory over the Carrizo Springs Lady Wildcats last Friday night.

The Lobos will be back on the road for competition against the Crystal City Javelinas on Tuesday.

The Lobos will begin District 29-5A action on Sept. 22 when they take on the McCollum Cowboys at San Antonio.

They will head back to San Antonio on Sept. 26 to play the Harlandale Indians.

After over a month of travel, the Lobos will be back in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym to play the Eagle Pass Winn Lady Mavericks on Sept. 29.

The Lobos will host the San Antonio McCollum Cowboys on Oct. 10.

That night the Lobos will celebrate Dig Pink Night as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Dig Pink T-shirts are being sold for $15 each.
