Down by 13 points at the end of the third period, the Uvalde Lobos made a dramatic comeback in the fourth period.
They rallied to record a 58-54 basketball victory over the Floresville Jaguars last Friday night.
Playing before a large Anthon Elementary School Family Night crowd in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym, the Lobos outscored Floresville, 23-6, during the final period to win the ball game.
Alyssa Rodriguez sank back-to-back three-point field goals to cut the Floresville lead to 51-47 with just over three minutes left in the contest.
Floresville scored on a short-range shot by Angel Rosas, but Rodriguez scored off an offensive rebound to again cut the deficit to four points.
Lauren Clancy sank a free throw for Floresville before Kylie Sendejo downed a field goal.
