Lobos play volleyball on Tuesdays

The Uvalde Lobos will play their home District 28-5A volleyball matches on Tuesday nights in 2019.

All eight district home matches for the Lobos are scheduled to be played on a Tuesday.

Coach Russell McElroy’s Lobos will begin district action on the road when they face the Medina Valley Panthers on Friday, Aug. 30, at Castroville.

The Lobos will make their district home debut in Uvalde High School’s Harvey Kinchlow Gym on Tuesday, Sept. 3, when they host the Southwest Legacy Lady Titans.

All district varsity home matches will begin at 6 p.m., while sub-varsity matches will start at 5 p.m.

Other home district home dates for the Lobos next season include: Harlan, Sept. 10; Somerset, Sept. 17; Southside, Sept. 24; Medina Valley, Oct. 1; Southwest, Oct. 8; Eagle Pass Winn, Oct. 15; and Floresville, Oct. 22.

The Lobos will kick off their season at home when they host the San Antonio Kennedy Lady Rockets on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Kinchlow Gym.

They will take on the Eagle Pass Eagles at home on Aug. 7.

Other home matchups will be against the Bandera Lady Bulldogs on Aug. 14 and the Carrizo Springs Lady Wildcats on Aug. 27.
