Lobos play two games in Harlandale hoops event today

The Uvalde Lobos will be in San Antonio this weekend for varsity action in the Harlandale basketball tournament.

They will begin pool play in the tourney today with a 9 a.m. game against the Providence Pro-Vets. At 12:45 p.m., they will take on the McCollum Cowgirls. Both games today will be played at McCollum High School.

Tomorrow at 10:15 a.m., the Lobos will battle the Southwest Lady Dragons, and at 12:45 p.m. they will face the Burbank Lady Bulldogs. Both games will be played at McCollum High School.

Hoop competition in the three-day tournament will wind up Saturday with the championship game set for 1:45 p.m.

The third-place game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., while the consllation title game will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Coach Fortino Patiño’s Lobos, 0-2 for the season, lost to the Del Rio Queens, 81-48, Tuesday night at Del Rio.

A’Taisha Carroll and Gabriela Victorino led Uvalde’s scoring with 13 points and 11 points, respectively.
