Lobos play at Medina Valley Tuesday

The Uvalde Lobos will be seeking their first district basketball victory of the season Tuesday night when they take on the Medina Valley Lady Panthers at Castroville.

Play in the District 28-5A varsity game will begin at 6:30 p.m., while the two sub-varsity games are set to start at 5 p.m.

Medina Valley, 1-0 in district and 12-9 for the season, will enter play Tuesday coming off a Friday game against the Southside Lady Cardinals at Castroville.

Results from that game were not available.

Last Tuesday, the Lady Panthers knocked off the Floresville Jaguars, 37-25, at Floresville.

Down 15-13 at the end of the first half, the MV girls used good rebounding and defense as they outscored the Jaguars, 24-10, in the second half.

Forward Makenzie Decock, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, led MV’s scoring with nine points.
