Lobos host Medina Valley in soccer home opener

Tomorrow night at the Uvalde High School soccer field, the Uvalde Lobos will make their 2018 regular season home debut when they take on the Medina Valley Lady Panthers.

The varsity match is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will follow a 5 p.m. junior varsity match.

Coach Russell McElroy’s Lobos, 3-5-1 for the season, will come into their home opener following a 1-0 road loss to the Kerrville Tivy Lady Antlers Tuesday night at Kerrville.

Tivy’s goal came on a close call in which the soccer ball hit the crossbar of the goal, went down, bounced, and then was caught by the Uvalde goal keeper outside of the goal.

But, it was ruled a goal by the referee.
