Lobos compete in Taft Invitational golf tourney tomorrow

The Uvalde Lobos will be at Fair Oaks Country Club located near Boerne tomorrow to compete in the San Antonio Taft Invitational golf tournament.

Play in the tourney will get underway at 8:30 a.m.

Coach Roy Torres’ Lobos will come into the event tomorrow following a second-place finish in the team standings of the Pleasanton tournament last week.

The Lobos claimed runner-up honors with a team total of 373.

They finished one stroke behind the Goliad Tigers.

Uvaldean Sofia White won medalist honors. She placed first with a round of 78.

Pleasanton’s Lacey Stevens finished a distant second in the individual competition with her round of 82.
