Honey Capital tennis tourney ends

The Dentons had a good day at the 2019 Honey Capital Open Tennis tournament staged July 27-28 at the Terri Rambie Tennis Complex in Uvalde.

Bailey Denton captured girls’ 18 singles 3-0 and teamed with Kaitlyn Enlow to claim the girls’ doubles crown.

Ty Denton breezed to the boys’ 14 singles title as Charlie Perez finished second and Michael Fernandez placed third.

Allie Tschirhart was second in girls’ 18 with Enlow coming in third.

Brenlee Fox won girls’ 16 singles and teamed with Genesis Perez for a third-place finish in girls’ doubles. Perez had been third in singles competition.

Jada Cisneros was runner-up in girls’ 16 singles.

Nikki Layne and Nayeli Avila took second in girls’ doubles.
