Coyotes win, clinch playoff spot

Sometimes in football, the best offense is a good defense.

The Uvalde Coyotes proved that adage Friday night as they recorded a 28-16 victory over the McCollum Cowboys.

On a night when the Coyotes struggled on offense in the second half, the Uvaldeans relied on their defense to come through.

And Uvalde’s defensive unit delivered in the second half as they did not give up a single point, while they held the Cowboys to five first downs and only 41 total yards.
