Coyotes host Kennedy tomorrow

The Uvalde Coyotes will host the San Antonio John F. Kennedy Rockets in football competition tomorrow night.

Kick-off time in the Honey Bowl is set for 7:30 p.m.

Both the Coyotes and the Rockets will enter play seeking their first win of the season.

Coach Michael Inco’s Rockets suffered a 48-14 loss to the San Antonio Central Catholic Buttons last Thursday night in Edgewood Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Statistically, Central Catholic wound up with only a 15-9 advantage over Kennedy in first downs and a 394-368 edge over the Rockets in total yards.

But Kennedy lost three turnovers, including a pass interception that was returned 60 yards for a Central touchdown.
