Arredondo, Langner win fishing tourney


Pete Arredondo caught the big bass of the Uvalde Bass Club’s November fishing tournament staged at Falcon Lake.

On the second day of the tourney, Nov. 10, Arredondo netted the big bass of the day, an 8.83-pounder.

Arredondo wound up placing first in the daily competition with three fish at a total weight of 14.70 pounds.

Howard Ponish placed second with three fish at a total weight of 13.11 pounds, while France D’Spain took third place with three fish at a weight of 12.72 pounds total.

On Nov. 9, Brian Langner placed first in the tournament competition.

Langner hooked three fish that totaled 11.44 pounds.

Mark D’Spain claimed runner-up honors with a catch of three fish that weighed in at 7.81 pounds.

Laura Langner’s three fish totaled 6.70 pounds to net her third place.

Ricky Guerrero caught only one fish, but it was the big bass of the day, a 6.31-pounder.
