Victoriana Padilla, 88, of Uvalde died on Jan. 30, 2019, at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on April 24, 1930, in San Monica, Mexico, to Fabiana Sotelo and Vicente Salinas.
Padilla is survived by four daughters, Rosa Mata and Yolanda Nava and husband, Federico, all of Mexico, Blanca F. Cantu and husband, Johnny, of Glenn Rose and Victoria Candela and husband, Luis Alvarado, of Uvalde; two sons, Juan M. Fuentes and companion, Letty Hernandez of Uvalde and Jose G. Fuentes and wife, Victoria Nicole, of San Antonio; five stepchildren, Lucy Castillo and husband, Albert, Mary Martinez and husband, Benjamin, Jane Castillo and husband, Vanicio, Sara Gallegos and George Padilla, all of San Antonio; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cipriano Padilla; parents; son, Castulo Fuentes; three brothers, Theodoro Salinas, Roberto Salinas and Vicente Salinas Jr.; and two grandchildren, Jordan Rio Cantu and Harley Nicole Fuentes.
A rosary was recited on Friday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A graveside service was held yesterday at 4 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jose G. Fuentes, Juan Carlos Flores, Juan M. Fuentes Jr., Luis Reynolds, Robert Sanchez and Juan M. Fuentes III.
