Solon “Larry” Crider, 77, of Uvalde died on June 22, 2020, at his residence.
Crider was born on Dec. 4, 1942, in Kerrville to Margie (Park) and Solon Crider.
He was a school teacher, rancher, and farm chemical salesman who sold Moorman’s Feed, now ADM Animal Nutrition.
Crider married Charlotte Hargrove on Oct. 5, 1971, in Uvalde.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years of Uvalde; seven nephews, Billy Joe Hargrove of San Antonio, Hal Hargrove of Georgetown, Mac Hargrove of Dallas, Dink Hargrove of Cedar Park, Jim Bob Hargrove of Langtry, and Frank Hargrove and George Hargrove, both of Del Rio; four nieces, Melody Speer of Uvalde, Mary Lou Baker of Laredo, Totsie Hildreth of Del Rio and Linda Palmer of Austin; two brothers-in-law, Joe E. Hargrove of Uvalde and Neal Hargrove and wife, Nancy Kay, of Kerrville; and close friends, Robert Hensarling and Ralph Canales, both of Uvalde.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother-in-law, Darrell Hargrove and wife, Mary Jane; and sister-in-law, Nadine S. Hargrove.
Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
