Ramiro Ramos Sr.
Ramiro Ramos Sr., 62, of Quitaque, died on Oct. 22, 2018, in Lubbock.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1955, in Batesville to Maria (Vasquez) and Jose Ramos.
He married Maria Luisa Vasquez in 1972 in Batesville.
He loved football and baseball, and his hobbies included working on cars and hanging out with his boys. He was a cotton ginner by trade.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Priscilla Ramos; and three siblings, Jose Luis Ramos, Maria Elia Ramos and Robert Ramos.
Ramos is survived by six children, Michelle Brown and husband, Tim, of Plainview, Rita Barrios and wife, Francisco, of Tulia, Ramiro Ramos and wife, Francesca, and Roger Ramos and wife, Karrie, all of Andrews, Natasha Ramos of Slaton and Ruben Ramos of Quitaque; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 10 siblings, Estella Garcia of Uvalde, and Jesus Ramos, Luisa Hernandez, Olivia Robles, Asusena Luna, Diana Garza, Leonor Ramos, Rosa Anna Rios, Hector Ramos Sr. and Dora Ramos, all of Batesville.
A funeral service was held on Oct. 26, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Quitaque. Chris Tucker officiated. Interment followed at Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque.
Pallbearers were Andrew Barrios, Matthew Villarreal, Justin Rice, Juan Haro, Bryce Reagan, Levi Correa, Richard Hernandez and Rene Ramos.
Arrangements were with the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
