Pedro Saldivar, 90, of La Pryor died on May 1, 2017, at Dimmit Regional Hospital in Carrizo Springs.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel, with interment to follow at the La Pryor Cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1926, in Cloete, Coahuila, Mexico, to Francisca (Lopez) and Gregorio Saldivar.
He is survived by two sons, Rogelio Saldivar and wife, Blanca, and Carlos Saldivar and wife, Sylvia, all of La Pryor; three daughters, Irma Perez and Janie Jacquez and husband, Lloyd, all of La Pryor, and Carmen Ramirez and husband, Moses, of Wisconsin; one daughter-in-law, Maria Luisa Saldivar of La Pryor; three nieces, Alvina Hernandez, Francisca Hernandez and Patricia Hernandez; one nephew, Frank Hernandez; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Saldivar was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Idalia Saldivar; and second wife, Gregoria Saldivar; one son, Pedro Saldivar Jr.; two sisters, Maria L. Saldivar and Mela Hernandez; one brother, Sixto Saldivar; one son-in-law, Jose Elias Perez; two nieces, Paula Hernandez and Andrea Hernandez; and two nephews, George Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be Pedro Saldivar III, Martin Martinez Sr., Michael Saldivar, Christopher Ramirez, Jermayne Ortegon and Ricardo Perez Jr.
