Martin L. Looper
Martin Loyd Looper, 71, of Uvalde died on Jan. 5, 2018, in Pearland.
He was born on March 13, 1946, in Corpus Christi to Algia (Martin) and C.P. Looper.
The family says he loved working in the oilfield where he held positions from a floor hand to a driller. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a Texas state trapper, and he was a musician and songwriter.
He married Nancye (George) on July 23, 1966, in San Antonio.
Looper is survived by his wife, of Uvalde; one son, Kelly Looper and wife, Renee, of Pearland; one daughter, Jahonna Wood and husband, David, of Uvalde; two granddaughters, Tabitha Graciano and husband, Joe, and Kassandra Looper; two great-grandchildren, Luke Graciano and Lauren Graciano; one brother; and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
A private service was held on Jan. 27, 2018.
