Mark E. Humble
Mark Ellis Humble, 59, of Uvalde died on Feb. 27, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on June 10, 1958, at Fort Bragg in North Carolina to Virginia (Miears) and Mark J. Humble, who was serving in the U.S. Army. Due to worldwide travel entailed by his father’s service assignments, Humble and his sisters were primarily raised by their mother and stepfather, Jess Whitley.
He graduated from Carrizo Springs High School in 1976. He worked for Halliburton as a truck driver and a welder. He was a Freemason and a member of the Church of Christ. He resided in Uvalde and spent his time here with friends Lucy and John Stokes and Mary Cole, who the family says cared for him for many years.
Humble was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents Patsy and Virgil Miears of Kerrville; and paternal grandmother, Norma Beatty of Indiana.
He is survived by his mother, of Center Point; stepfather, of Menard; two sisters, Patricia Roop of Columbus, Georgia, and Jaye LeRoy of Panama City, Florida; aunt, Carolyn Donaghe of Kerrville; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
