Marcos Jaime Olvera, known as Mark or Marky, 37, of San Antonio died on Oct. 7, 2018, in San Antonio.

Visitation will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m., and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. George Maronite Church, 6070 Babcock Road, San Antonio. Interment will follow at approximately 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.

He was born on March 5, 1982, in Corpus Christi to Rosa (Gonzales) and Jose Olvera.

Olvera is survived by his parents; brother, Jose Ramon “Joe” Olvera and wife, Maricela; and four nieces and nephews, all of whom he nicknamed, as follows: Alyssa “Fatso” Olvera, Adalynn “Fatty Addy” Olvera, Aidan “Nains” Olvera and Adrian “Ajin” Olvera, all of San Antonio; grandmother, Natividad “Nate” Gonzales of Uvalde; five uncles, Ken Stark of Missouri, Armando Gonzales and wife, Josephina, of San Antonio, and David Gonzales and wife, Patricia, Raymond Gonzales and Bobby Gonzales and wife, Maryann, all of Uvalde; three aunts, Rosa Segovia and husband, Juan, of Corpus Christi, Mary Esther Garcia and husband, Mike, and Nancy Gonzales, all of Uvalde; and numerous cousins and great-cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ramon H. Gonzales Jr.; paternal grandparents, Margarita and Jose Olvera; two uncles, Vicente “Tito” Olvera and Jody Gonzales; and aunt, Elsa O. Stark.

Pallbearers will be Javier Segovia, Javi Martinez, Rocky Bernal, Leo Olvera, Johnny Tambunga, David Guzman, Armando Gonzales, David Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales, Bobby “BJ” Gonzales Jr., Nicholas Gonzales and Jose Gonzales.
