Macario Cahue, 45, of Uvalde died on Nov. 4, 2017, at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1971, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Concepcion Fernandez and Trinidad Cahue.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Corpus Cahue; one daughter, Maite Sarahi Cahue; and three sons, John Anthony Cahue, Macario Cahue Jr. and Francisco Javier Cahue, all of Uvalde; five sisters, Eleazar Gonzales and husband, Jaime, Guadalupe Hererra, Yrandi Garcia, Elena Colula and husband, Miguel, all of Chicago, Illinois, Arminda Cahue and husband, Martin, and Lucia Fernandez and husband, Javier, all of Uvalde; four brothers, Ramon Cahue and wife, Anita, Jose Cahue and wife, Claudia, Marco Cahue and wife, Nancy, and Luis Cahue and wife, Maria, all of Uvalde; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A rosary was recited on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral mass was held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
