Jose Losoya, 64, of Dallas, formerly of Uvalde, died on Jan. 28, 2020, in Dallas.
He was born on July 22, 1955, in Uvalde to Rosa De La Cerda and Jose Losoya.
He is survived by a sister, Elisa Quiroga and husband, Basilio, of Uvalde; six nephews, Carlos Lara and Basilio Quiroga, Jr. and wife, Mary, all of Uvalde, Enrique Quiroga and wife, Christine Suniga, of San Antonio, and Armando Murillo Jr., Joaquin Murillo and Jose Murillo, all of Dallas; niece, Cynthia Campbell and husband, Scott, of Dallas; sister-in-law, Sulema Murillo of Dallas; eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Basilio M. Quiroga III, Julia M. Quiroga, Josue M. Quiroga, Angie Gaucin and husband, Antonio, Rosalinda Lara, Elisabeth Lara and husband, Johnathan Hardin, Ariel Quiroga and Haley Quiroga; and three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Anthony Gaucin, Aubriana E. Pinon and Gabriel A. Quiroga.
A rosary was recited on Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass was held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment following at Uvalde Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Basilio Quiroga Jr., Rick Quiroga, Basilio M. Quiroga III, Josue Quiroga, Antonio Gaucin Sr. and Antonio Gaucin Jr.
