Jimmy L. Eaker
Jimmy Lee Eaker, 74, of Uvalde died on May 6, 2018, in San Antonio.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at La Pryor Cemetery.
He was born on June 25, 1943, in O’Donnell to Willie Bell (Lazenby) and Melvin Eaker.
He married Jeanie Ham Eaker on Sept. 28, 1982, in Uvalde.
Eaker is survived by his wife of 35 years, of Uvalde; five daughters, Kristal Eaker of San Antonio, Robin Lee Wilburn and husband, Ray, of New Braunfels, Tina Melancon of New Iberia, Louisiana, Mary Melancon of Bandera and Theresa Colbath and husband, Dock, of Pleasanton; two sons, Jeff Ward and wife, Debbie, of Pleasanton and Joe Ward and wife, Heather, of Hondo; two brothers, Harold Eaker of Uvalde and Edgar ‘’Doc’’ Eaker and wife, Elaine, of Katy; sister-in-law, Ann Eaker of O’Donnell; 10 grandchildren, Corporal Dalton C. Stewart, U.S. Marine Corps, BJ Kinsey, Christopher Kinsey, Clay Kinsey, Terry Meiners, Casey Schmidt, Amber Stevens, Tiffany Durnell, Joshua Ward and Hannah Ward; six great-grandchildren, Skylynn Denning, Griffin Denning, Cooper Kinsey, Lila Kinsey, Adelyn Dumell and Dane Meiners; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Ann Gibbs; brother, Kenneth Eaker; and sister-in-law, Karen Eaker.
